AVACADO Photo Co. was inspired by a lifelong love for capturing meaningful moments. Growing up, my mom was always behind the camera, making sure our family had photos to look back on. Because of her, I learned that pictures aren’t just images — they’re little time capsules of joy, laughter, and love.
That belief is what led me to fall in love with photo booths. There’s something special about stepping in, letting go, and simply having fun — no pressure, no posing, just real moments. I love watching people light up in front of the booth… friends getting silly, families sharing laughter, and memories being created in real time.
At AVACADO Photo Co., it’s not just about taking photos — it’s about creating joyful experiences people will cherish long after the celebration ends.
Why AVACADO?
My name is Ava — pronounced ah-va, with the same opening vowel as avocado, rather than the AY-va most people reach for on a first read.
Correcting people politely never worked especially well. Giving them a comparison did. “Ava, like avocado” is the version that lands the first time, and it reliably draws a laugh. Something that had been a small recurring inconvenience became the most effective icebreaker I have.
That is where the company name came from. AVACADO is my name spelled the way it actually sounds — deliberately, and not the spelling you may have been preparing to correct. It is a fitting origin for this business: at events, we are hired to do roughly what that one line does in conversation — give people an easy reason to relax, engage, and enjoy themselves.
